Biography
Sue Mason graduated from Wellesley College and attended the Philadelphia College of Art, now known as University of the Arts. After marriage to a Foreign Service officer and several moves around the world to Morocco, Colombia, Ecuador and Canada, she began painting flowers and landscapes in watercolor. After 15 years painting with watercolor, she began painting with acrylics and produced abstract paintings and collages. Recently Sue has been creating monoprints at the Lee Art Center in Arlington VA, where she is a member of the Printmaking Studio. Sue has exhibited her work in the Washington DC area at St. Alban’s School, the Torpedo Factory Art League, Black Rock Center for the Arts, the Yellow Barn in Glen Echo Park, Pyramid Atlantic and at the Lee Art Center. She also had a small print accepted into the 4th New York International Miniature Print Exhibition in 2019. She lives in Bethesda MD.
